Zebras are one of the most recognizable animal on earth. This immediate recognition is due of course to it's sstriped black white pattern. This zebra black white pattern has evolved as a defense mechanism to confuse and dissuade oncoming attacking animals allowing time to evade and survive the attack. Zebras are fast and good also in changing direction if under attack. Zebras also defend themselves in herds which enhance their natural markings and adds to the effectiveness of their marking if under attack. Zebras are found only in africa however they have many of the same charachteristics of our American horse. People like to use Zebras to represent black and white, whether in their business logo or in home decor. Often if someone is decorating a black and white theme they will use Zebra figurines, plush stuffed animals, blankets, pillows, mugs in their home zebra black and white decor.
